It's funny how people see things differently.

I never watched the show but I definitely had heard of the family.

I always considered the mother to be in a somewhat abusive situation. No one in their right mind would go through 19 pregnancies. I always felt it was the husband who was looking for the fame at the expense of the wife.

Since they were a "religious" family the wife is subservient to the husband
