SA actually published my response in the comments. I'm surprised!

"This article completely misses the fact that Lightwave's technology has been in testing and experimental production runs in several foundries for the past two years. The industry is VERY interested in their photonics tech and the first licensing agreements will happen this year, with commercialization ramping up in 2024. Semiconductor foundries know what Perkinamine is, as do many potential Tier-1 customers. The company shouldn't have to spend much money on marketing, because much of the market already knows who they are, starting with the foundries. In essence, the fabs will be doing most of the marketing as they start implementing photonics into their product offering. High speed, low energy consumption and more chips per modulator should make LWLG a great investment for years to come IMHO."

BTW, you don't need a paid subscription to SA to read or comment on articles. I've had a free membership for years.
