Overall, my "cash" is held in laddered FDIC insured bank CDs, T-bills and investment grade Bulletshares.

I’ve been working on it since last year to be better positioned in insured products.
Seeing Schwab plummet this morning but recovering some made me nervous as well. I had too much uninsured cash sitting around and didn’t want to divide it up into different banks and brokerages to be covered. Glad I ditched their managed bond portfolio a couple years again (very long term bonds trying to capture 3%) and went with the short term tbills I could buy at auction myself and have them rolled over automatically. Sleeping a lot better!

These will be crazy times and we just got a glimpse of the tip of the iceberg. I was just getting comfortable riding out the recession - but now all this!!
