I eat Progresso soup. For years, the non-sale price was about $1.99. And then suddenly it jumped to $3.99 last summer. And it hasn't budged, except for a few sales that brought it down to $2.99.
OR, I can buy it at RiteAid, where, last time I went, it was $1.99. At least they haven't shrunk the cans.
Will we ever see ANY food prices go all the way back to where they once were? I doubt it.
