I only heard the first 20 minutes of the discussion with KM, but I was left with the distinct impression that KM was making a pitch to an audience of one: Denner. He seemed to be aggressively defending the way Amarin has gone about pursuing pricing agreements in Europe over the last two years, emphasizing that rushing to a deal generally means leaving a lot of money on the table in the country you're negotiating with and lowering the amount you can get from other countries afterward.

He also made a strong defense of why no deal with Germany was possible and how isolated Germany is compared to other European countries. He also was wisely careful not to insult Germany, saying that the country was just not financially capable of reaching a deal at the time and that a second effort there will make sense when Amarin has some new data to present. Perhaps he's alluding to the upcoming results of the COVID study, which would make sense since Germany has been hurt pretty bad by the pandemic.
