The only thing halfway "positive" that Smokey the Bear Anti-Mining Minister Marcela Hernando has accomplished in the entire past year is the shutting down of Codelco's Ventanas Smelter... and so like clockwork every 2 weeks she gets another campaign-boosting write up in the leftist newspapers (who will be supporting her run for the president in 2026) making it sound like she is the most astonishing productive Minister of Mining the world has ever seen when in fact she doesn't know jackshit about real mining or how to even "grow" a mining operation. The only thing she knows is how to close down a mining operation which we are all going to hear about again... for the 14th time.
