Tesla driver crashes into Girl Scout stand at Walmart in Granite Bay, arrested for suspicion of driving under influence

According to CHP Auburn, 69-year-old Gary Benson crashed the vehicle around 3:50 p.m. at the location at Sierra College and Douglas Boulevard. CHP said that a 10-year-old and an 11-year-old were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

A 76-year-old woman was transported to the hospital with major injuries.

The driver was arrested for suspicion of being under the influence of substances while driving and police said he will be booked into the Placer County jail on Saturday night.
