I wanted to post this again for those that missed it and to add some context. WellCare was bought by parent company Centene in 2020 creating one of the largest sponsors of government coverage in the country. WellCare covers 1.2 million Medicare advantage members and 4.1 million prescription drug plan members. WellCare formulary doesn’t offer GV or GL. All medicines are tier 1 with zero copay. Vascepa has T-1 coverage without PA or step therapy requirements. This should help Vascepa scripts growth going forward or at least maintain them against formularies that have GV but no V.
