Not sure if you’re referring to my comment that ‘this’ seemed like snake oil. Gravity batteries and electric generation through gravity has been around for a while. As I showed the Archimedes screw is one of those solutions. The other is pumping water to a higher elevation during the day and using the energy from gravity at night with solar as the input.

What I don’t get is what is the input here? The comments of 1MW output. Is this just for back up power ? It doesn’t say. And it describes air being pumped in …. Is it tidal (patented)

So it’s a bit misleading in their ‘science’ section.

What is the input? And if there is an input, why not convert that directly to electricity. Unless this is being used as some sort of a ‘balloon’ battery in which case it’s not 24/7.
