Looks like Berman has had a public defender appointed as representing counsel!
Which means his parole superviser being given scrutiny over his personal finances.
So either he is genuinely broke, or else he is lining up yet another fraud!
The good news is that the public defender will have one eye on the time clock and most likely won't stand for any shenanigans or paltering, e.g. with respect to health status issues and procedural delays.
Anyways.
His fancy lawyers have variously extricated themselves for reasons best known to themselves, ....but you can probably safely bet that this likely wasn't because they felt they had built up a slam dunk defence case, for a compliant and congenial client who was a pleasure to deal with and who paid up in full and on time.
I think the jig is up here!. Berman may have hung himself out to dry!
