These small market teams are the true problem in baseball in my opinion. In my opinion they drastically underspend what they should in my opinion.

They still manage to win ball games and WS. If you notice they tend to be younger and hungry.
That certainly helps make a winning combination.

Look at the what the Yankees have done since the last time they won a WS. Money does not always buy happiness.
