Chile_overloaded with_1000s of_sound bites_but not_one good simple
tangible solution to this loggerhead impasse (aka typical Chilean beaner clusterfock) on getting Chile up and mining lithium again.

All Chileans get lately is a bunch of hot-air from the bureaucrats, politicians and supposed experts... blah blah blah. Every two-bit politician/NGO wants to flap his lips on solving the lithium crisis in Chile but none of them have the balls to say the simple truth "bite the bullet" and:
1. Repeal the Pinochet-era Strategic Mineral classification on lithium.
2. Make lithium a concessionable mineral like copper, gold, silver.
3. If Chile can't be satisfied (or satiated) with normal taxes/royalties on the lithium miners then the Chilean State should be proactive and invest hard federal money straightforward upfront in the lithium miners in return for a percentage share (49% maximum) in the company and enjoy the dividends like every successful shareholder will eventually experience... or sell your shares when the mine is cranking at top speed and simply take the capital gain if you are so inclined... or STFU and let the miners produce the jobs and the lithium privately on their own land then subject to transparent fixed-term (eg 20-year) taxation agreements.

I am sick of everybody like José Ignacio Blavi Aros saying "kumbaya, let us all work together" but not offering one single tangible solution to the problem. Blah blah blah... more useless hot air.
