Qwerkiness (Well, Quwerkiness)

Biogen's Aduhelm and Leqembi seem not be the Alzheimer's bockbusting drugs that they and the FDA hoped for.

Now who woulda thunk?

Unlike little Anavex Life Sciences Corp, Biogen is a real pharmaceutical, with real scientists doing real drug research, with real clinical trials results, all of which impressed the FDA; which approved both drugs.

Of course, there were some very minor "side effects," some brain bleeding of all things. And, the drugs aren't purchased for a few bucks. Um, rather expensive.

Then, a lot of practicing physicians haven't been impressed with the free meals at the good restaurants the drug reps used to convince the docs to actually prescribe the new drugs. One would have thought Biogen has just the best drug sales force.

Lastly, what about the name "Leqembi?" Just how is that q supposed to be pronounced? In most of the rest of the English language, the letter q is followed with a u or w, creating the phoneme "kwa." Without a u after the q, there seems to be a qestion (as it were).

Actually, this is contrived phoniness. Are we supposed to be impressed? Or does the phony, non-orthographic name of the drug accurately reflect its safety and efficacy? Seems so.
