Nah, no olive oil is just greed. Like cellulose (saw dust) showing up in vegetable egg frittatas where it used to be vegetables and eggs.

The pizzerias and Italian restaurants I buy from still do the food right, at higher prices than before, but not skipping the olive oil or replacing it with lord knows what oil, or using other fugazy ingredients.

Then we also today tried a new “French bakery style place that just opened up, their website showing all these different delicious looking goodies. I bought about four different items only to discover later that they were all made from the same pastry shell in different shapes and exterior texture, so that was a bust as well.

There is a real deal French market in Rumson, home of old and new money, that isn’t cheap but it’s good. Hey YOLO !
