I stared at the cherry sunburst Les Paul Standard for at least 5 years while it was hanging for sale in Jack’s Music store in Red Bank, NJ. When Jack’s closed to consolidate into his original store, I bid on the guitar but someone else beat me to the punch.

Two or three years later the very same guitar showed up at my friendly neighborhood music shop in the same new condition and I grabbed it!

So definitely wouldn’t want that one broken over my head, although come to think of it, it’s solid mahogany with maple top and very solidly attached neck, so it would probably kill me and not be damaged more than a little dent by my bones
