Only hope is if fda belives the resulting data and considers our drug for an unmet need and gives us conditional approval…but the need for new funding seems to indicate that missling now believes we need another trial.

What other explanation is there?

Not that Missling believes we need another trial. The funding ability gives Anavex strength at the negotiation table. Along with cash in the treasury for 4 years of funding, and with no debt.

That is the strength you need to avoid compromises because of a weak financial position, and it gives the ability to walk away if the deal does not benefit the shareholders and company. There will be plenty of suitors for a partnership, Anavex will be able to do the picking and choosing for the best deal, not the potential partners.
