....by which I mean he is playing the 'penniless' card.
No lawyer. Financial affadavit.... public defender is the next stop.
Which means no more expensive lawyerly shenanigans to delay and obfuscate justice.
Keith will get a fair defence, by a lawyer acting in the public interest, and at public expense.
A change of plea would be the smart move now I think! He's seriously running out of road now!
Unless he attempts to defend himself.... which would be both entertaining (for everyone else) and disastrous (for him!).
