Well, in this venue anything is possible. For me, I understand why some would short a pennystock.

The most common positive in shorting a penny is when a company announces an Equity financing package that in most cases is based on dilution. Most of us knows what happens and usually is the number 1 reason for shorting and many penny stocks can be read that way, but extremely risky.

Take CLNV, the announcement on the Equity package (s-1) couple of days ago was in our favor and anybody that shorted this issue was hoping it would tank but didn't and that was a smart move by the company not to play into the shorts.

Also, CLNV is positioning themselves as a viable interest in ROI and the shorts can't maneuver around this and any catalyst coming from the company can create a MOASS. This may be a true indicator that holding a short position can be a headache on waiting for an exit. This is why shorting CLNV at this point is not a good idea.

One of the good news in the penny arcade is when, by law cancelled free trading shares for service rendered. This prevented dumping and of course changed the P&D scenario. This was a real plus and certainly made shorting not so attractive.

Have a good day
