Nice synopsis of the bombers. They do get DJ back, so there's a ray of hope there. And really, Hicks and Donaldson can only tick up in stats compared to last year. (dark humor).
I don't think Benintendi is the answer, so letting another team overpay him....I have no problem with that choice.
IMO it's all about the kids. It's a bit farcical to read about how loaded the Yankees farm system is and not get to see the talent on the field. Last year, rookies and youngsters played a huge role on most playoff teams. The yanks trotted out some youth when required by injury, but in the playoffs, the desperate line up shuffle was the antithesis of the stability and consistency which helps a team relax and play their best baseball.

Cashman has a real issue with sitting down with younger players and taking the pressure off of them by letting them know "you're pencilled in every day." IMO that's what needs to happen in the Bronx.
