“Which patents exactly do feel have significant value?”

Have you seen another company with a portable PSWT device akin to BIEL’s and at their price point? No? So I guess other companies see no merit in the technology? Or are they discouraged by possible treble damages amongst other disincentives for patent infringement?

“All of the original patents (the basic technology of the device) expired long ago. I know they have some more recent IP, but isn't it mostly about how to attach the device, back belt, insole version, different applicator tapes, etc?”

Perhaps you can share your due diligence with a detailed soup to nuts patent history and expiry dates for all readers’ benefit?

“If there is any value to be had here, it is in building a brand (which they have not succeeded at). The technology itself is probably not protected in a robust way anymore.”

Hmm…“probably” doesn’t sound very convincing.
