Thanks for revisiting this Elroy and you're correct it was never officially declared a recession but two consecutive quarters of downward moving GDP have always been considered a recession.

This is not correct (e.g., 1947).

What I love about trolls is that they never take the time to help one understand their position because the point is to engage in an argument instead of clarifying different points of view. He is correct about one thing, around noon I am out to lunch almost every day.

Nobody is here to argue, except you who calls posters trolls. I stated a fact. What is there to clarify? Happy to chat / discuss other topics that require debate. if you care about the readers of this board you should be focused on posting factually correct information, as should all other posters.
