Those incidents are probably what prompted the school to have the parent in the classroom with them.

I would think that the teacher who was shot has a good lawsuit against the school district.

IMO parents have too much power and School Districts tend to be afraid of being sued by them and end up going too far the other way and we have tragedies like this one.

Before I worked in the Resource Room I worked in a kindergarten class and there was a kid who didn’t want to do what I asked him to do. He said he would sue me! That was almost 30 years ago and parents (and kids) have become much more powerful since then.
