Biosect,

I don't know if you, or anyone here knows for certain how the disposable cassette for the FlaskWorks unit is built, and what's loaded into it when it's manufactured. Namely, we know that certain chemicals are added to the lysate and white cells that are processed to make the vaccine, whether they're done in the FlaskWork unit or manually in the cleanroom. The question is, does St. Gobain's Glass actually put the chemicals that work to make the vaccine into each disposable cassette, or is the cassette built in such a way as that everything is added to a properly cleaned and sanitized cassette.

In many ways if the cassette is preloaded with all but the product from the patient it probably would simplify the logistics for using it. The question is how much it would complicate the manufacture of the cassette and if St. Gobain's is equipped to build the unit in that way.

I suspect that at some point Corning will rue the day it sold FlaskWorks to NWBO and didn't insist on retaining supplying the disposable cassettes for themselves in the deal.
