In the UK their energy situation is clearly in distress. With about 2 million people being disconnected per month for at least 24 hours without heat or electricity.

Their system has developed what they call “pre pay meters” to help the energy companies somehow. Roughly 600,000 people are expected to be force switched from credit meters to pre paid meters.
Unfortunately it’s not anticipated to help the situation much, if at all.
