I did buy a portable cooktop to see how they worked since I'm not happy with my electric stove.

But while your single "burner" was reasonably priced, many full-sized stoves cost more than three or four grand. And that is pricey. I think it's interesting, though, that the "burners" don't get very hot; they make the pan you're using get hot.

If induction stoves and stovetops are going to take over our kitchens, the price will need to come down, I think.
