Here, There & Everywhere. LOL. Not quite everywhere, but lots of places.
Something a bit unusual. I've flown both sides of South America. To as far south as Buenos Aires and Santiago. The east side has a sameness, for most of the length. But looking down on the mouths of the Amazon and Orinoco Rivers is impressive.
The west side is another matter. The Andes Mountains run for nearly the whole length. Looking down on the always rugged shore line and at the Andes always held my attention.
On the approach to Santigo, Mt Aconcagua, is visible. It's the tallest mountain in the Western Hemisphere.. I've flown Santiago- Buenos Airs, 6 times. The flight takes you very near Aconcagua. Unforgettable!
About the Andes. Flying over the Rockies, from Denver, is about a 20 minute trip. Flying over the Andes takes about two hours.
