Perhaps there is a misapprehension of the impact of activist investors. For example, I am very aware of Nelson Peltz and his efforts that made a mess of Kraft, forcing the breakup that created Mondelez. Then he tried to get PepsiCo to break into snacks and drinks, stupid because the very definition of diversification is having business lines that offset. Then, he had the temerity to try to get Kraft Heinz to buy Unilever, which was a multiple of KHC, and then PepsiCo, which is not an acquisition candidate but an acquirer of other big firms. Then he jumped into P&G, which paid him off with a board seat because they did not want more of his crap (he actually tried to get them to change their supplier agreements with the big box businesses just before the pandemic; which made those relationships invaluable), leading to their most recent organic growth of 7%. Peltz relented and just gave up that seat. And, do not even get me started on Bill Ackerman or Eddie Lampert. Sorry, my MBA professorial knowledge emerged and I did not mean to impair the little narrative being woven, however incorrectly.

Oh, wait...those are big activist investors that most are not familiar with. Sorry! But I am not familiar with the little people! Perhaps I have something to learn from the little people.
