It would be a lot better for everyone if House Republicans did take up fiddling and violin lessons, leaving them too busy for legislating or theatrics.


Our economy continues to outperform others around the world, and my investments continue to pay increasing dividends.

I swim a mile three times a week, enjoy making ceramics and I'm glad to be receiving Medicare benefits.

But hard-core Republicans insist we're living in a horrible crisis of end-times and the world is about to collapse because I receive Medicare benefits, and will take Social Security benefits when I'm 70. They claim I'm a dangerous socialist criminal who's trying to destroy America in concert with other older Americans.


You know what Nick? Fuck them. I don't know what sort of mind altering drugs they're taking or how many of them are severely mentally ill, or if they're just lying bags of shit desperate to say anything to gain some short-lived power -- and I also don't care - just so long as they abandon legislating and pick up fiddling. Just like slave owners in 1850, radical Republican politicians know their end is near as their empty policies continue to fail and they're exposed as liars.

I'm not concerned about their careers ending and neither should you be.


The Baby Boom created a short-lived demographic imbalance the US economy can easily support without needing to send retired Americans into concentration camps. Vladimir Putin's grand delusions, so strongly supported by Tucker Carlson and other right-wing nitwits, are being foiled by Ukraine with our support and the support of others around the world.

Life becomes wonderful as soon as you tune out the fantasy sewage broadcast by Fox News and others who continue to support this false narrative of impending disaster.

There have always been wars, conflicts, technical problems, social adjustments and all sorts of other stuff which our ancestors dealt with, just as we do today.

The end comes only once, and it's not now.
