You are right the doctor against STAT BS Dr. Steven Toms who said in the conference that he knew Dr. Linda Liau when they were teens.

Steven studied political science at Brown between 1982~1986 while Linda Liau studied biochemistry and political science between 1984~1987. She got two degrees in completely different fields in three years at one of the most prestigious universities in the country. Just amazing!

If it is a locally organized event, then I assume any investigators from any local hospitals that participated in the clinical trial can have a press conference like this on their local news.

I really hope next one would come from Houston Methodist Hospital. Here is the description on dcvax on their webpage.

" Most cancer drugs only achieve clinical benefits in a limited percentage of the patients with the type of cancer being targeted (e.g., 25 – 30% of the patients). In contrast, DCVax has achieved clinical benefits (i.e., longer delay in disease progression and longer extension of survival than with standard of care treatment) in over 80% of the patients who have received DCVax in clinical trials to date. Since DCVax is made with biomarkers from the patient’s own tumor, it is automatically tailored to targets that are present on that patient’s cancer."
