Biogen's Leqembi, previously known by its scientific name lecanemab has just been approved.


So, the new assigned trade name of lecanemab is "Leqembi." Really?

When in normal English usage is the letter q followed by an e?

Exactly, how is this 'q' to be pronounced? As a 'g' or a 'k,' or something else?

Altogether, a phony phonetic contrivance. Might that reflect on the drug itself, or on the company who chose this goofy artificiality?
