"NO-RESPECT-EPA" Until we get a research study that directly compares Vascepa vs Statin, or Vascepa vs Non-Vascepa, Vascepa "ain't got no respect." My otherwise excellent cardiologist, sees no benefit in me taking Vascepa when I am not taking a Statin. He says Vascepa gets its results from being linked with Statin, not by itself. (After 8 years on Statin and Vascepa, my Statin exacerbated a kidney decline. A year off Statin and the Kidney function is improving). Currently on Vascepa and Aspirin. The Cardiologist humors me about my desire to continue taking Vascepa, but I am thankful that he honors my request.

I wonder how many other Cardios feel the same way?
