I doubt that many other unique drugs coming to market are entering a space where there are already numerous companies selling billions of dollars worth of supplements that claim (falsely) to do the same thing as Vascepa. And because these companies operated in a vacuum for several decades before Vascepa came along, even the majority of doctors think unregulated supplements are a great thing. We're all hoping that a tipping point arrives whereby the truth overcomes falsehoods and Vascepa is recognized for what it is and Amarin becomes prosperous and our shares do not become worthless.

I would think it's likely that these companies, with so much money at stake, hire a few people to concentrate on discrediting Amarin at every turn, including ensuring that any positive posts about Amarin or Vascepa on social media are immediately met with posts claiming that Reduce It was a sham and the merits of Vascepa are disputed and in doubt. In my anecdotal dealings with doctors, I've been struck by how many of them think more studies are needed to make sure the benefits of Vascepa are real. They are parroting everything they are reading from the propagandists who are protecting the market for supplements.

Meanwhile, Amarin is ineffective at delivering its messages about Vascepa to the point that some of the lies may be effecting its pricing negotiations in Europe, potentially costing Amarin hundreds of millions of dollars, if not billions of dollars, in future income.
