DAVID WALKER

In over three decades as an entrepreneur and consultant, David founded and managed technology companies (raising millions of dollars in private investments) and has assisted hundreds of businesses, from mom and pop shops to Fortune 500 companies. Since 2019, he has served as a director of a Small Business Development Center (a program partially funded by the Small Business Administration and hosted by Cal Poly Humboldt University) in two rural Northern California counties. His group has helped over 2,000 entrepreneurs with everything from answering questions to creating and implementing strategic plans. Over that period of time, they assisted 115 clients in securing over $14M in funding and another 35 small companies in increasing sales by more than $9M. They helped an additional 50 clients successfully establish new businesses (i.e., starting and generating revenue).

He has direct experience in nearly every facet of business, with in-depth knowledge in many areas, including new battery and energy technologies, RFID, sensors, equity capital, leadership, intellectual property (IP), technology licensing and SBIR/STTR programs. He holds BS and MS degrees in business related fields, and has served on several Boards and various committees (e.g., IP, advisory, finance, etc.) of businesses, universities and community organizations.
