To your other point, I hold reservations about the size of or existence of any naked short positions. Only because it seems ridiculous to argue something you can't prove either way. But there is enough catalyst right now to create upward movement.

Has nothing to do with Kramer on vacation.

Many traders and offices that would trade this market have been out for a couple weeks already. Many close out positions and start new after the first of the year. I know many that refuse to even ljook at the markets when taking downtime. These people are not like many here, they don't need money, so thought process is different.


I closed my offices first week in December and open 2nd week in January every year. My kids still do the same. Not uncommon in finance.
