Maybe there is an aspect of it that they are trying to get patent protection on. Maybe they simply know their data is sound, have funding, and don't really need to light the match until later.
Maybe the data isn't as good as expected.
Truth is, no one on the board currently knows so we have wild speculation on both sides until we do know more. The last 10 days have been like a broken record here, maybe we'll actually know something by the end of the year, but I doubt it.
