Heard of major influence being bought for much, much, less money, unfortunately.

I remember reading an article that showed correlation between support and outright voting going the way if donors who “contributed”amounts like 50,000 to individual congressional interests.
That was decades ago, so even taking into account inflation that would be comparable to maybe 150,000 today. But adding up a bunch of such “support “ could add up to around 50 million neighborhood.

So a super donor providing a hundred million of support could garner substantial “good luck” in the treatment of their interests.

Look at SBF of crypto world. You think there might have been a reason he spread plenty of “crypto money” all over politicians of both major parties. Might that have been, as many other multi billion dollar individuals or entities do and have done, hoping for, as Don Corleone would say, “a favor one day, and that day may never come.”
