You mean like the GREAT catalysts that were supposed to drive value in 2022? Look at Slide 15, titled Catalysts to Drive Value, from the presentation that has deliberately been left on the Anavex website: https://www.anavex.com/_files/ugd/79bcf7_3cc5b85e0f1d49bb84e60f933ecbbea8.pdf.

The title of the slide is a cruel joke. Of the 10 listed so-called catalysts to drive value, only four have been achieved, and none of those actually drove value anywhere except down. By any measure, four out of 10 is an epic fail. You and other retail shareholders may not care but the larger investment community, including professional biotech institutional investors who are the people who can ultimately make Anavex a big company, does care.

For those who can’t be bothered to click on the link, here are the six out of 10 “catalysts to drive value” that are on the verge of being missed:

1. Data of 48-week OLE PDD Phase 2 study – expected by end 2022
2. EXCELLENCE completion: Potentially pivotal Phase 2/3 pediatric RTT clinical trial – expected by end 2022
3. Initiation of ANAVEX®2-73 imaging-focused Parkinson’s disease clinical trial – expected 2022
4. Initiation of potentially pivotal ANAVEX®2-73 Phase 2/3 Fragile X clinical trial – expected 2022
5. Initiation of potentially pivotal ANAVEX®2-73 Phase 2/3 clinical trial for the treatment of a new, rare disease indication – expected 2022
6. Initiation of ANAVEX®3-71 Phase 2 clinical trial for FTD, schizophrenias and Alzheimer’s disease – expected 2022

What’s really sad is that Missling knows damn well these “catalysts to drive value” will be missed, yet he’s left the presentation on the website. In my opinion, this is a duplicitous act at best and an attempt to deceive investors at worst. And, I would add, this is the same thing that happens ever year in December.

What boggles my mind is that at least some retail shareholders simply don’t care. But they should!
