New to biotech investing ? Sorry this had to be your first .
Its a dangerous field and no matter how well U think you have DD 'd the Co ...things can still blow up .
Take the Baker Bros and KOD .
I think they built their position to 20% of the Co ..over $1billion ....and the pivotal trial failed.
My biggest loss on the year .
Compare that with RXDX ...some what of a long shot but spectacular results .....making up for some of my KOD loss
I always force myself to " sell the news " some of my position ..AMRN on R-IT approval , RXDX on their win and sell some.... no matter how much you love the Co and its product .....if it falls 20% below its recent high ...SWAV
Should U venture beyond AMRN ... KZR looks to have the best drug for Lupus Nephritis ( AUPH will just burn thru their cash ) , KDNY looks interesting for IgA Nephropathy ( wife has both LN and IgA patients )
RXDX looks good for Chrons ( when the current excitement fades ) , AKRO and maybe ETNB for NASH etc

We need a real surprisingly good CV readout in the MITIGATE trial for AMRN.
I know it will be only 2 yrs data at the most on 1,000 high risk secondary prevention CAD US patients ......but if we dont get that ,I doubt Kaiser will keep dispensing it .
