"You were assigned on your $12 out of the money covered call write? That is odd."

I had it happen to me with AVXL on a couple of occasions. Both times it was less than 10 cents and on Monday (in the first 15 minutes) it went above the exercise price and by 9:45 it was lower than Fridays closing price so I bought the equivalent shares back.

I can't recall ever making money going long on calls, however I never lost shares by selling covered calls so I routinely sell covered calls (I sold the Dec 2nd 29's for .33). I may be less inclined to employ going forward now that we have great results and a partnership can happen at any time.
