Timberwolf7 - Good move, especially in this case. Few realize that options may be exercised, and your stock assigned away, up to a hour AFTER the market close on the option expiration date. If immediately after close, AVXL had announced the high dose reversed Alzheimer's, the after-hours stock price would jump up before the 5:30 ET assignment cut-off, and bye-bye stock. When the covered calls I've sold drop to the $0.10-$0.50 range I always buy them back to close my position.
