In order to cease the never ending stock price manipulation by the crooks of Wall Street it is necessary to take away the profit motive provided by cascade shorting.

The simple solution is to ban shorting below the prior day's close thus preventing "unwanted selling" (1937 SEC comment on shorting).

Further the SEC needs to define short trades as a derivative transaction requiring same day settlement.
