Someone just posted this comment on JAMA in response to Matt Williams:

Three points about Dr. Matt Williams:

1. He did not disclose his primary conflict of interest when he posted his comment to the JAMA paper. His firm in the UK is the sole provider of the Optune device for glioblastoma made by Novocure Inc. Optune will the primary competitor to DCVax-L when DCVax-L is approved by the regulators.

2. He and his fellow signatories to the comment did not fully read the JAMA publication and its references. The controls were not "historical controls" as they state. "Contemporaneous external controls" have been used in several clinical trials which have been approved by the FDA. These doctors just need to follow the references and all their points will be moot. The end points were revised prior to the company being unblinded to the data. End-point revisions have been approved by the FDA in several clinical trials.

3. Lastly, Dr. Matt Williams is not a medical doctor. He has a PhD in computational physics and he has not been involved in any clinical trials.
