He has lot to gain if stock goes up but nothing to lose if this goes into abyss. Rubber stamp BOD won't remove him, he controls them, his job is secure for at least next5-10year with cash in hand. I doubt he even cares about his dignity or ethics, what he cares about is $1million salary and opportunity to present in every dog and pony show.
