Many years ago IMGN had a CEO, Mitch Sayare, who'd say that things were happening soon, at times SOON became many months, even a year or more, Investors finally started to spell it backwards, NOOS, when referring to what he said. The major thing however was that what he said would happen, did happen.

I cannot remember either LP or DI using soon, but I know DI had hoped the Annual Meeting would be happening months ago, but he was never firm about that's when it would happen. Long ago LP said that the were waiting for a Journal before ending a quiet period, clearly it took longer than it was thought to, but it's been published in a top tier Journal. There are those who'll say JAMA Oncology isn't JAMA, perhaps they're right, but it's really the JAMA Journal that get the information to the people we want to have it, the Oncologists. I have no idea if it was the first Journal Dr. Liau approached, or if she tried others, but clearly it was a great choice, one that only publishes a small percentage of all that's sent to it, so we shouldn't let the bashers put down this achievement. Clearly the Journal was timed to go along with Dr. Liau's appearance at SNO, again it's probably the most appropriate venue for her to make such a presentation after the issuance of the Journal. Who better to discuss DCVax-L with than Neurological Oncologists, and she did so in a plenary session.

Clearly the timing of SNO and the Journal forced the Annual Meeting to late December, but I really can't say anyone should be shocked by what's in the proxy. I'm frankly unsure if the company is in another quiet period from the time the proxy is officially issued and the meeting, I believe it may be. It doesn't mean they can't say anything, just that they can't actively rally support for items to be voted on in the proxy. I believe that newsworthy events, like a regulator accepting a key filing, or approval of something previously filed, should still be able to be reported on. I don't know if they can discuss the status of what they're doing prior to the meeting unless they're announcing some item that's completed, not guidance about when they hope to get things done to rally support for the proxy.

I don't know precisely we should have the Annual Meeting announcement and proxy provided by our brokerages, but I think we should let one another know when we do. I'm at Fidelity, I suspect all others there will get it when I do, but it will be interesting to see if virtually all the brokerages essentially act together.

I have a feeling that by the time of the meeting we'll know more, but perhaps not until that day, it's just over a month away. If anyone knows that I'm wrong or right about the quiet period between when we get the official notice and proxy and the meeting, let us know.
