The reality is that Milton Fiedman was one of the first... if not the first to come up with decentralized currency over the web. He also realized that the benefit of such would be enjoyed by criminals as well.

The Bitcoin groupies have taken this information and used Milton as a "look at this" moment. As in.."See...Milton Friedman predicted Bitcoin..so it must be legitimate".

And I hate that sooooo much.
