Some help with 5 year survival data would be appreciated. This may be stuff that has been discussed previously on the board and if so I appreciate indulging me.

On Twitter, Dr. James Perry, arguing with Danish Dude, said "only 25 patients in the entire trial lived 5 years." First, it appears he got this number from the bottom of Figure 2 where it lists "Number at Risk" as 25 -- but only in the treatment group. There were also 2 listed as At Risk in the rGBM group.

But if you go by the numbers listed in the article, first released in May, 13% of the treatment group lived 5 years, and by my math that should be 30 survivors. The At Risk number for the External Control group is 0; I believe the explanation for this is that none of the studies which made up the 1366 EC group followed patients to 5 years so that isn't a "heartbeat" number, and the 5.7% survival at 5 yr number is a KM curve estimate.

So, were there 27 total survivors at 5 years in this trial, or were there 30 in treatment group and maybe more than 2 in the rGBM group, or do we not yet know? TIA
