Wise investors, please give me some advise if you will... Once again I have found out that an advisor basically lied to me a couple of years ago, this time about moving some 529 plans to a cash position. This is just the latest example of mismanagement. And then there are the institutions that are another problem, over regulated to protect us, but recently I was not able to make a very large purchase that was entirely about timing because of some new rule that required funding an account in advance, blah, blah , blah. I am not an advanced enough investor to do this myself, but I am tired of being angry. I also do not have enough cash to just exist for the rest of my life, I need to make some money. Any advise? Maybe just buy a dividend fund and a couple of index funds and stop subjecting myself to this madness? I would seriously appreciate some ideas. Thank you.
