Raf, Too bad Nissan is missing an opportunity to do some actual good for
CVD patients. Imagine if Nissen would call for the removal of Lovaza and
any other EPA/DHA mix including supplements due to lack of benefit; and
call only for the use Vascepa. I wonder if there any other medical thought
leader of Nissen's stature that would be able to do that. Maybe Dr. Gottlieb.
At some point someone with some stature should take on this issue.
(Of course, Amarin management would make up the excuse that they do
not want to violate any FDA policy, hence they stay silent.) Yet there is
so much disinformation in the supplement industry which sells a product
of minimal value (if any) and the FDA simply refuses to do its job properly.
