"They say they cannot understand the meaning of the pyramid--what it is trying to tell us" he said suddenly. There is no mystery. The pyramid speaks for itself (res ipsa loquitur). Is there anything stronger? The larger the base, the stronger it is ..........

Mr S. would agree, I think, that a major index is a stable pyramid with a large base. I also prefer the use of a major index.

Sometimes I get the urge to AIM some individual stocks, there is more volatility, and good profits are a possibility. At this moment I am up 90% with my individual stocks. A good business case would be to sell the stocks and buy the index. That is the same as an AIM buy with a nearly 50% drawdown, what would normally be a good point of entry. It enhances the growth of the AIMed index.
