Missling has been unnecessarily shooting his credibility in the foot for years. It’s a good bet he’ll keep doing so.

It’s always the same playbook with CTAD and other medical conferences. Missling gets everybody excited by dropping apparent hints, Then disappoint sets in when Biogen, Eisai and Roche get all the attention while Anavex and 20 other biotechs with promising AD data get no respect. The disappointment and grievance this go-around will set in when the reality that FDA will insist on larger Phase 3 AD trials sinks in and this sucker drags on for a few more years without an NDA filing for any indication. Everyone will be screaming that the FDA is in the cabal’s pocket or some other conspiratorial nonsense.

Bottom line for me is I don’t trust Missling. Instead, I’ll wait for the experts to judge the veracity of the data. My strategy is to buy on the way up IF the data are for real according to independent scientists. I’d rather buy higher and go higher than buy lower and watch my investment go to nothing.
